After getting home I reinstalled the new 12.2 software around 3 times making sure it's completely uninstalled, restarted and installed correctly by allowing the Blackmagic Design developer in security preferences. The job was saved by a simple HDMI to USB capture card I bought ages ago on Amazon which doesn't need any drivers at all. Thinking I need an update I checked the support website and noticed a new 12.2 update, however, after downloading and installing the UltraStudio Mini Recorders still weren't being recognised despite the LED being on and the device being recognised and correctly identified in the Mac's System Raport under the Thunderbolt tab. I tried different ports and cables just in case on both devices. I was on a streaming job on Wednesday 27th October, when during setup I noticed both of my UltraStudio Mini Recorders weren't showing up in the Desktop Video 12.1 preferences pane on my Macbook Pro (mid-2015, Intel) running 11.6.1 (which I installed on Monday 25th October). I seem to be having a similar issue with my UltraStudio Mini Recorder (Thunderbolt 2). The installation doc says nothing about the Accessibility Requirement, and Support has been stubbornly sticking to the script as per install docs, which, in my experience, which has been incredibly frustrating. I have it working in Big Sur with Desktop video 12.1 by doing the above.Ĭan anyone confirm that these steps have worked for them? Security & Privacy > General > Accessibility and add Desktop Video to the apps that can control the computer. Allow the driver in that window if the prompt is there and didn't appear before, thenĦ. Open system preferences > Security & Privacy, unlock it. Check system prefs for this prompt before you restart, and if it's not there, go ahead and restart.ĥ. Note, the installation might prompt you to restart the computer. As soon as you do, an option might appear in the security system prefs window asking to allow Desktop video to control the computer or something. ![]() ![]() Unplug the mini monitor & Uninstall desktop video using the uninstaller in the application folder.ģ. ![]() Mark Linthicum wrote:I can not get my Mini monitor to workġ.
